On 31 January 2025, two landmark editions took effect for the global valuation profession: the RICS Red Book Global Standards 2025 and the International Valuation Standards (IVS) 2025. The Valuation Practice Standards were renumbered VPS 1–6, a brand-new standard on valuation models was introduced, and sustainability considerations are now woven through the entire valuation process.
